a little behind

So I haven't posted anything in a while.......

Guess that tells you how exciting my life is!!!
Actually I have spent the majority of the summer on the softball field with my son!!

We have had practice and ballgames for two different teams since June and now that both of those teams are wrapping everything up--he found another team to play on!!!!
But at least I know where he is and what he is doing when he is on the ball field ....
which is something to be said for teenagers these days!!!
And of course school has started again which is always fun with a teenage boy!! And with school comes football games and wanting to hang out with friends.....

It is so hard to let them go and do their own thing and make their own mistakes!!!

What I Would Do For You

I would do just about anything you'd ask.
For you there's nothing I wouldn't do, there's no such task.
I would walk without my shoes to the end of the Earth.
I would give up anything I had to to teach you self worth.
I would hold your hand every minute of every day.
But I won't because I know you need to find your own way.
I would surely bear the heartache of your first love that's real.
Even though I can't, I will naturally feel as you feel.
I would sell my soul if it would keep you happy forever.
I would give my right arm to keep us forever together.
I would run a hundred miles up hill in the rain.
Just to guarantee that you will never feel pain.
I would laugh with you even if I was sad.
I would smile at you even if I was mad.
I would accept your mistakes with a grin on my face.
I would guide you in correcting them, but at your own pace.
I will teach you the ways of the world because it may get quite wild.
Just please don't you ever forget, that you will always be my child.

Children grow up way too fast!!

If you have children, treasure the time with them.
They are only children once-- although there are some that never grow-up--or should I say mature?!? Spend time with them and make memories that will last a lifetime..let them enjoy themselves and have fun. They will grow up and have the rest of their lives to work and be responsible. Teach them good values and lead by example!!

Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.
James Arthur Bladwin

Children are not casual guests in our home. They have been loaned to us temporarily for the purpose of loving them and instilling a foundation of values on which their future lives will be built.

I am back!!

It has been weeks since I visited!! I guess I don't have a very exciting life!!
Yesterday was Father's Day so I went to visit my stepfather for a while--wonderful man!! He has always been very good to me and I am very lucky to have him in my life!!
My dad passed away when I was 8....when we left my Mom and Stepfather's house..we went to spend the day with friends...friends who have all lost their dad..it was a depressing day!! Men do not seem to handle losing their dads very well--or at least some of them don't!! Or it just gives them a reason to throw themselves a BIG pity party!! Anyways to all the dads out there--Hope you had a great father's day and that you will have many more to come!! Do not take a single moment for granted--it could be your last...!!

Not Very Good At This

Okay so everytime I think I am going to post a new blog, I forget what my password is and have to reset the stupid thing. That may be because I only have about 2o sites that I have to log into between work and home and over half of them have different passwords.
Does it mean you are getting old when you have to create a word document to remember all your passwords or does it just mean you have way too much to remember and too much clutter on the brain?!?
Here's a cute joke I found on ahajokes.com:

Problems driving
Two elderly women were out driving in a large car-both could barely see over the dashboard. As they were cruising along they came to an intersection. The stoplight was red but they just went on through. The woman in the passenger seat thought to herself "I must be losing it, I could have sworn we just went through a red light."
After a few more minutes they came to another intersection and the light was red again and again they went right though. This time the woman in the passenger seat was almost sure that the light had been red but was really concerned that she was losing it. She was getting nervous and decided to pay very close attention to the road and the next intersection to see what was going on.
At the next intersection, sure enough, the light was definitely red and they went right through and she turned to the other woman and said, "Mildred! Did you know we just ran through three red lights in a row! You could have killed us!"
Mildred turned to her and said, "Oh, am I driving?"

I will leave on that note!!

Pet Peeves

I have lots of pet peeves but thought I would share a few....
stupid people...
you know the type.. they have no clue...you are not sure how they manage to breathe on their own...
stupid tv commercials...
such as call 1-800 general now--they only play the stupid thing a million times a day and it runs over and over in your brain even though you hate it!!! not to mention that whatever they are selling most likely sucks anyways!!
people who can't drive!!! (no explanation needed!!)
Well I guess you could say my number one pet peeve is just stupidity.. in all of it's forms!!!!

I shall return....

Just dropping by

Okay I am back.

Life is hectic...it is hard to take the time to express your thoughts sometimes...to realize how stressed you are in some ways and at the same time how lucky you are!! I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful family and friends...some friends who really seem more like family...and some family who are the best of friends....a son who is growing up way faster than I even want to think about (and is going to be driving very soon and I know there is no way I am going to remain sane through that!!) But I am going to try and take some time from my crazy life and make note of the important things...so I will be back soon!!
